Slow Food Portland 2013 Annual Potluck

Make plans to come together and share a meal with fellow Slow Food Portland members! Katherine Deumling, SFUSA Board Chair and owner/chef of Cook With What You Have, will give an overview of recent activities at the national office and share her thoughts on upcoming initiatives for the coming year.
Kendra Kimbirauskas, founder of Friends of Family Farmers, President of Socially Responsible Agriculture Project, and a farmer raising a variety of heritage breeds for meat and dairy, will give an overview of her recent trip to Terra Madre, the Slow Food International Food Conference.

A special treat awaits all attendees - in addition to the fabulous foods that members contribute there will be freshly made pasta - made by members and friends. Everyone is invited to a pasta-making workshop prior to the potluck - see below for details.
What to Bring
This is a potluck, so please bring a dish to share with 6 to 8 people and your beverage of choice. You will also need to bring your own dishes, wine glasses and utensils. Please bring dishes that are ready to serve, including serving utensils, as there isn't a way to heat or cool dishes.

p:ear is a 501(c)(3) mentor-based organization serving homeless youth aged 15 - 24. The name "p:ear" is an acronym for project: education, art and recreation. p:ear also has a food program and gives homeless young people the opportunity to learn how to cook.
